Arnold Cleveland Spencer

Arnold Cleveland Spencer, 76, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2023 in Las Vegas, NV surrounded by his family.  Arnold was born on November 9, 1946 in Buenaventura, Mexico to Isaac Carling Spencer and Sylvia Allred Spencer.  He was the 13th of 15 children.  His family had a farm in Mexico.  He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Arnold served in the Mexico SE Mission.  After his mission, he moved to Las Vegas, where he met his wife.  He married Peggy L. Brooksby on June 29, 1974 in the Oakland California Temple. They have 4 children.  Arnold was a carpenter, building homes and businesses across the valley. Later, he became an electrician. He loved talking to everyone and serving people.  He loved his family, the Book of Mormon, playing dominos, and serving in the Las Vegas LDS temple.

He is survived by his wife Peg; children, Bonnie (Doug) Garlin, Steven (Lisa) Spencer, Amy (Jared) Riggs, Janine (John) Gardner; 16 grandchildren; and 7 siblings,Clarence, Harold, Lilly, Derrel, Kenneth, Rulon H., and Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Marden, Lucius, George, Lucy, Nona, Rulon J, and Ruth.

Funeral services will be September 15, 2023 at 11 am at the LDS Sun Valley Chapel (5100 E Sun Valley Dr., Las Vegas, NV  89122) Viewing from 9:30-10:30 am.

    This news caused sadness in my heart. There is no other such kind, meek, strong, valiant man. I know Parry Warren is hugging his friend in heaven! We truely love Arnold Spencer. Sincere love and heartfelt condolences to his precious family.
