Bruce Bayer
Bruce Bayer – A Full Life Was Lived
After suffering a severe stroke, Bruce Bayer, née December 17, 1943, was called away on March 27, 2022. He is survived by his wife Sheri, & his daughter Brooke.
Bruce took pleasure in MANY things, mostly reading, music, sports, & travel. He was always running, going, doing, etc; suffice to say, he was a VERY active man. NOTHING kept him down, until this debilitating stroke that had him literally bedridden. For the first month, he was recovering SO well; he then hit a plateau, then he unfortunately began to succumb to the stroke. He fought SO hard, & sadly, four months later, he lost that fight.
Bruce will be missed by many, and he will live on in our hearts and memories.

Bruce was a frequent visitor to our book store and, honestly, at first, I was not a fan….then I got to know him. We became great friends and he spent many hours on our red love seat in the front of the store “not sleeping”….Of course, keeping tootsie rolls on hand was a big plus as these were one of his favorites and even now, I have a big bag that will be shared with others. Rest easy, friend; I hope to see you again so we can have more of our challenging conversations!! …. THANKS for taking the time to add to my postcard collection with the cards you brought back from Greece. They will be cherished always!!
I miss our phone calls (and arguments) that sometimes went into the wee hours of the morning. Bruce was a smart and worldly man. I am both envious and inspired by the free spirited and full life he lived. I miss you brother. RIP to that great sports bar in the sky and enjoy your new QB.
Rest In Peace Bruce 💙
