Caridad Lopez-Gallegos
Our precious mother, Caridad Lopez-Gallegos, 81, passed away on November 5, 2021. Caridad, “Mama” as she was called by everyone that knew her, was born in Durango, Mexico, and ultimately moving to Henderson, Nevada , from El Paso, TX. She is preceded in death by parents, Antonio and Dolores Lopez and brothers Mario and Benjamin Lopez. She is survived by children Alma Veliz, Lucia Fabela, Laura Munoz, Gloria Gazafy, Miguel Gallegos, and Amy Sanchez. Brother Jesus Lopez and sister Carmen Banderas . She was a loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Caridad was very family oriented and a devoted Catholic who dedicated her life to her children. Caridad loved life and Popeyes Chicken. She was a caring mother who worked multiple jobs to provide for her family. She enjoyed traveling, dancing and listening to Mexican music. Her favorite artist was Vincente Fernandez. She enjoyed baseball and would cheer for the Las Vegas 51s. Her favorite football team was the Denver Broncos and we learned to stay away from her if the Broncos were losing. She was competitive and one of her favorite pass times was sitting next to the television watching her favorite game shows. Funeral services will be held from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Tuesday November 16, 2021, at LaPaloma Funeral Services located at 5450 Stephanie Street, Las Vegas, Nevada 89122. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
