Carolee Frost

Carolee Truman Frost was born on December 20, 1976 in St. George Utah to Carl & Margaret Truman.  She was raised in Layton Utah and graduated from Layton High School in 1995.  Carolee married her high school sweetheart, Jared Frost, on August 15th, 1997. Carolee attended Brigham Young University and graduated with both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in April of 2000.  Carolee began her career as a CPA at Deloitte & Touche in Las Vegas NV shortly after graduating from BYU.  She worked for various accounting firms during her career before working with Jared in their own firm. Carolee & Jared have 2 sons, Isaac Allen Frost and Andrew Gene Frost.  Carolee was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in March of 2019 and spent the next nearly two years valiantly fighting this terrible disease.  Carolee passed away on March, 10 2021.

Carolee was a smart, fun, adventurous and kind person.  Carolee excelled at everything she did.  She graduated with straight A’s from high school.  She continued to excel in one of the most competitive and prestigious accounting programs in the country and graduated among the top 3 students.  Carolee sat for the CPA exam in Colorado and scored in the top 10 in the entire state.  Carolee was always the smartest, hardest worker everywhere she worked (especially when she worked with Jared) and was highly sought after in her career.

Carolee loved to travel and plan fun trips.  Everywhere Carolee went, whether with family or friends, she would plan fun activities that everyone would like. Some of her favorite trips included Kauai, Lake Powell, Disneyland, Disney World, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Chicago and a special waterski trip to North Carolina when she turned 40.

Carolee was an amazing friend.  She was thoughtful and kind.  Many people have cards and notes that Carolee wrote to them for birthdays, special achievements, or just because.  When Carolee saw a need, she served.  She helped clean houses, watch kids, make meals, give gifts, or bring you your favorite treat.

Carolee cared deeply about her kids’ education and served many years as the treasurer of the PTA while Drew was in elementary school.  She also spearheaded fundraising for Isaac’s school for children with special needs.

Carolee was committed to her faith.  She served in many callings in her church and always “magnified” her calling.  She served many times in the young women’s organization and most recently as the young women’s president.  She served almost the entirety of that time while battling cancer.  And even in the midst of a fight for her life loved the young women, prayed for them and planned fun and meaningful activities for them.  She could be counted on to do what needed to be done and many people she served with were grateful to serve alongside her.  She tried to follow the example of our Savior Jesus Christ in the way she lived.  She loved and served other people and always tried to do what was right.

Carolee will be deeply missed by her family and all those who consider themselves her friend.

A funeral will be held to celebrate Carolee’s life on Friday, March 19th at 11:30 am at 10550 Alta Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89144.  For those unable to attend the funeral will be streamed via zoom at this link:
