  • Happy Birthday Grandpa,

I miss you grandpa. I miss our weekend chats and laughs. I miss the unsolicited advice about girls and money. I mostly miss your unconditional love you had for me.

You would have turned 92 today, but it’s been about 2 months since you passed away. I still cry occasionally thinking how I’ll never get to see again here. How I won’t be able to give you your back scratches or explain multiple times what I’m studying or doing for work. How we won’t be able to go play bingo or watch old western or Kung Fu Movies. What I would give to have another day with you.

There’s so much to catch you up on since you left. I feel that I’ve significantly grown as a person in the past few weeks. I’m single now. I’m sober. I’m reading everyday. I’m eating incredibly healthy. I have more empathy and compassion for others. I value my Friends and Family more. I value my time and energy more as well. I feel a deeper sense of purpose and urgency to achieve. I am mostly taking the time to reflect and really learn about myself and what’s important to me.

Thank you for everything Grandpa, I really hope I can see you in the next life or whatever happens after death. I just really miss you sometimes and hope I can make you proud. Love you Grandpa
