Dayle R. Kessler
Dayle R.Kessler, 63, of Henderson, Nevada, after a courageous battle with cancer, has filed a change of address with Saint Peter from earth to being with our Lord in Heaven on September 21, 2011. Dayle was born on November 2, 1947 to Dr. & Mrs. Robert Kessler, in Columbus, Ohio. While his father was in the Air Force, he had multiple homes growing up to include three years living in the Territory of Alaska, prior to statehood. He graduated from Ohio Dominican University and received his master’s degree from Xavier University. He obtained his CPA certification in September, 1983 from the state of Ohio. Dayle worked as a corporate tax auditor fro the State of Ohio, retiring in May 2000. At that time, he and his wife Cherri relocated to Henderson, NV where he was thrilled to have no allergies and frequently was quoted as saying, “I can breathe in Nevada”. Dayle taught business classes at both Las Vegas College and the Community College of Southern Nevada, 2000-2010. He was a past Columbus, Ohio cum christo men’s 114th Table of the Journeymen, week-end participant and active with St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Henderson, NV
Dayle is Survived by his wife, Cherri Kessler; children Mary Ruth (Dave) Ostrander, Elmira, NY; Robert (Jennifer Lipscomb) Kessler, Columbus, Ohio; John (Victoria) Kessler, Oceanside, step-sons Mike Jacoby, Littleton, CO; Scott (Martha) Jacoby, Hortonville, WI; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also Survived by his Mother – Mrs. Robert R. Kessler, Columbus, Ohio; brothers Dr. Michael (Luyda) Kessler, Calise, Maine; Dr. (James) Patrick (Holly Larwrence) Kessler, Franklin, NC; Richard (Peggy) Kessler – Canal Winchester, OH; sister KK (Kathleen) (John) Parker, Columbus, OH and multiple loving nieces and nephews. Dayle also leaves behind numerous friends in Ohio and Neavda and his childhood friend, Mike Kefauver, He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Robert Kessler.
A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Tuesday September 27, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. (noon).
