Deborah Ann Hobbs-Clark

Deborah Ann Hobbs-Clark was born to Sidney and Betty Hobbs in Reno, Nevada on October 21, 1956. She passed into her Heavenly Fathers arms on December 29, 2022.

Debbie grew up in Sparks, Nevada, attending Greenbrae Elementary, Dilworth Middle, and Sparks High Schools. After high school her entire career was in the communications industry beginning in Nevada and ending at retirement in Oregon.

Debbie was an only child and as such received the full attention of both of her great parents. She inherited the very best attributes of both her father and mother, becoming a skilled outdoorswoman as well as a spiritually inclined, good person. Her father taught her how to shoot, fish, hunt, water ski, and snow ski and she was proficient at all of them. Later she became an expert horsewoman, regularly participating in Quarter horse competitions.

In 2000 she married the love of her life, Don Clark. She lived with Don in Oregon until his death, after which she moved back to Nevada.

Later in life she was active in her community, volunteering at the Sparks Museum where she loved working with her fellow volunteers and sharing her knowledge of Nevada and the City of Sparks.

Debbie was also very active in her church, teaching youth Sunday school for the last several years. She enjoyed teaching and loved the young people in her classes.

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband Don and both of her parents. She is survived by her step children Donnie Clark and Roxanne Tatum and numerous cousins and dear friends. She is interred next to her husband Don at the Eagle Point National Cemetery near Medford, Oregon. A memorial service will be held for her on Saturday February 25, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4850 Edmonton Drive, Reno, Nevada 89511.
