Donald Ball

20151204_125110Donald Ball died suddenly on 11/25/15 at his home in Henderson, NV.

He leaves behind his life partner of 35 years, Norrine Dalbey, his 6 adult children – Don Ball JR, Dave Ball, Sherry & Mark Pinder, Sue & Mike Kotch,  Daniel & Sunshine Ball,  and John & Holly Ball; grandchildren –  Sara Ball & Zach Millard, Jake & Jen Kotch, Laura & Jeff Herzog, Anthony & Ari Pinder, Harley Ball, Zoe Ball, Connor Ball, Courtney Ball, and Lucky Ball; great-grandchildren – Nadine Millard, AnnMarie Kotch,  Jadynn Kotch, Savannah Millard, Logan Herzog, Izabelle Millard, Landon Kotch, Tyler Herzog, Charlotte Herzog, and Jazmine Millard

Don was born January 10, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA.  He served in the Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged after 2 years.  He moved with his then wife, Shirley Ball, along with their first 3 children to California in 1961.  He worked for Caltrans for over 25 years at which time he retired and later moved to Las Vegas, along with Norrine Dalbey, to be near the majority of his children.

While in Las Vegas he joined the Civil Air Patrol and the American Legion and served with pride.  He enjoyed going to the local casinos and socializing with friends.  Some of his favorite moments were spending family events with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Around the younger ones he became a child again, playing with them and having fun.  He would often let the girls put bows in his hair or sit and play legos with the boys.

A funeral service will be held December 11th at Southern NV Veterans Memorial Center in Boulder City NV at 1:20 PM
