Douglas Frances Tanner

Douglas Frances Tanner, passed away Tuesday evening, September 6, 2011 in Las Vegas. Doug was born November 21, 1928 in South Gate, California to Allen Oscar and Bessie Bell Tanner. Doug was a 47 year resident of Las Vegas. He was a retired Teamster of Local #631.

He is survived by his beloved wife Beverly, who he affectingly called Scub-e-babe; they were married 54 years.
Doug has two surviving sisters; Netsie Haughn of Montana and Nema Shanklin of California who loving referred to him as, “Gogs”.
Doug has a total of 6 children. Sons: Douglas Francis Tanner Jr., Roger Allen Tanner, and Alan Range Tanner.
Daughters: Linda Jean Gorman, Brigitte Lorretta Tanner, and Alanea Jean Barr-Stern.
Eleven grandchildren: Timothy Tanner, Tamara Tanner, Steven Tanner, Candice Golden, Jacob Tanner, Justin Tanner, Brian Gorman, David Gorman, Alex Tanner, Abby Tanner, and April Aylward.
Sixteen great-grandchildren: Anthony, Victoria, Lorena, Joseph, Sophia, Aiden, Jailnn, Noah, Acacia, Noah, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Haily, Jeffrey, Sierra, and Jaxen.
One great-great grandchild: Allyson.

Dad loved us all unconditionally and with all of his heart.

A celebration of his life will be at La Paloma Funeral Services 5450 Stephanie Street, Las Vegas NV 89122 on Wednesday September 21, 2011 from 3-5 PM.
