Douglas R. Neil

Douglas R. Neil, age 83, passed away on April 28, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Gail, and twin grandsons, whom he helped raise.

Douglas was a 20 year veteran of the Navy.  After retiring from the Navy, he chose a career in the gaming industry as a card dealer and pit boss. He worked at most of the strip casinos over a 35 year span.

He was very active in gold mining and had many claims in California and Utah.

Douglas was born in Spokane, WA in 1936 and moved to Las Vegas in 1964 after retiring from the Navy. He was a homebody who enjoyed taking care of his home, pool and gardens. He was active with his grandsons in scouting, camping and gold mining activities. His viewing will be at La Paloma Funeral Services in the Chapel located at: 5450 Stephanie St., Las Vegas, NV 89122 on Friday May 8, 2020 from 4-6 pm.
