Ervin “ Skiets” Grenke
Ervin “Skiets” Grenke born June 22, 1951 to Leopald and Virginia Grenke in Pittsburgh, PA passed away on May 5, 2016. After a 15 month battle with brain cancer in Virginia City Highlands, Nevada. Skiets had his wife, Cheryl and daughter, Tammy by his side when our Lord called him home. Skiets is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Cheryl. Children Tammy (Michael) France of McKinney, TX, Christol Houston of Colorado Springs, CO and Tommy (Melody) Denison of Lake Havasu, AZ. Grandchildren Shelby and Justin France, Ashley and Aaron Houston, and Kailey Denison. Sister Beverly Phillips of Simi Valley, CA. Skiets built for him and his wife a dream log cabin in the Virginia City Highlands, NV with the help of great friends. They enjoyed the peaceful views and surrounding nature. He had a love of cars and his pride & joy was a 1959 Baja Bug known as “Hank”. He drove “Hank” daily to work and in the hills of Virginia City.
Skiets was loved by all who knew him. His sense of humor and quick wit will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be missed!
