Eugene Purry

Eugene Purry, 65, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts died Sunday, February 6, 2022, at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is the son of the late Jesse Purry, Jr. and the late Jerlean Mosley Purry. He was a 1974 graduate of Taconic High School and attended UMASS Amherst as well as received his degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. He served in the United States Air Force and was recognized as Airman of the Year. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rosalinda of 40 years. A brother, Marvin Purry (Cynthia of Jackson, NJ, sister, Vera Purry-Kennedy of Laurel, MD, sister Jessie L. Thomas (Alfred) of Brandon, MS, sister Elizetta McCrary (Daryl) and Rachelle White (Gerald) of Atlanta, GA. He also leaves his devoted aunt, Maddlean Mosley of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be Friday, February 18, 2022 from 9 am to 10 am and military burial service will Monday, April 18 at 12:40 pm.

    My condolences to the wife and family of Eugene Purry. I grew up with Eugene from grade school to high school. It was wonderful to connect with him on Facebook and remain friends. I’m very sorry to hear of his passing. It was indeed heartbreaking news. My prayers will continue be with his wife and family. May God give you comfort and strength during your time of bereavement.

    Eugene was one of the “good guys” for sure. Reconnecting with Gene at our reunions was always a pleasure. So glad he was able to travel and visit with his classmates. He will always be remembered in our hearts.
