George Mountcastle

On April 24, 2023 God in his divine wisdom called our dearly beloved George Mountcastle home. George was born to the late George and Cynthia Mountcastle on January 24, 1968 in Philadelphia, PA. George received his education in the Philadelphia Public School System and graduated from Martin Luther King High School. He also attended Saul High School obtaining tailoring skills.

George had many diverse interests during his lifetime. He loved music, fast cars, dancing, and roller skating. He loved to dress to impress, and whenever he was around you would know because of the awesome colognes he wore. He was outgoing and funny. He’d also lend a helping hand if needed when he could. Although George battled most of his life with sickle cell disease, he never let it stop him from living his life to the fullest and moving on. George will always be remembered as “Big Cuzzo” as he loved spending time with his cousins.

George will always be remembered for his smile. He had faith in God and found solace in him. He leaves behind to mourn three lovely daughters Katiya, Kristen, and Kelli. His sisters Lisa Rose and Katina Lawson. His devoted fiance Melita Martin, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
