Glendon “Glenn” Morris Hinton Jr.

Glendon “Glenn” Morris Hinton Jr., 71, passed away at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas on August 9, 2019, after a two-year battle with cancer. He was a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle.

A short service will be held August 26, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery (1900 Veterans Memorial Drive Boulder City, NV 89005). A celebration of life will be held immediately following the service at Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que at The District at Green Valley Ranch (2245 Village Walk Drive Henderson, NV 89052).

Glenn was born in Visalia, CA on October 4, 1947, to Glendon Sr. and Irma Hinton (Woods). He graduated from Hurricane High School in 1965. He joined the United States Army in 1965 and served his country for four years. In November of 1983 he married Debbie Caston. Glenn was a plumber by trade, he went on to earn a degree in construction management from the College of Southern Nevada in 1991 and spent most of his career as a project manager. He spent his free time riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, playing guitar, reading books, writing, and taking trips to the mountains. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hinton (Caston); his brothers Steven Hinton and his wife, Ruth, and Michael Hinton; his son Sean Hinton and his wife, Christin; his daughter Kayla Hinton; and his grandchildren Christopher and Betty. He was preceded in death by his mother Irma Hinton (Woods), his father Glendon Hinton Sr., his brother Daniel Hinton and his sister Bobbie Pearce.
