Ina Anderson
Ina Anderson, 85, died Friday, November 11, 2022 in Henderson, Nevada with her children by her side. Ina was born in Denmark before the 2nd world war. When she was 16 years old, she boarded a ship alone and headed for America. She made her way west to Utah where she met and married Phil and had four children. During the early years in Salt Lake, the family spent many enjoyable days camping with friends and family, having friends over for card parties, and were very involved in church. While raising her children in Salt Lake and then Las Vegas/Henderson, Ina created a loving home environment and many friends of her children have commented that they wished they could have been part of their family.
Ina worked for many years as a cashier at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino and ended her career at the Desert Inn Hotel & Casino. Once retired, she spent her time with friends and her children and grandchildren. Ina also spent countless hours knitting and many household closets have at least one of her famous beanies with a pompom on top. She also visited her much missed and beloved Denmark several times throughout the years.
Ina is survived by her siblings Bruno, Kate, Lone, Ilse, son Michael (Bonnie), daughters Christine (Duane), and Heidi (Chuck), 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Scott, her brother, Jasper, and her parents.
An at-home service will be held in her honor on Sunday, December 11, 2022. Ina will be greatly missed by all.

I was lucky enough to be included as part of her family. I loved her laugh and her eyes sparkled when she smiled. Ina will truly be missed by many. RIP, mom!
Huge Hugs to you all.. Terry.
My second mom. Just as beautiful on the inside. I always felt accepted and loved when I was around her and my life is better due to her warmth.
I send my deepest sympathies and condolences to the family and friends upon Ina’s departure. She was a good friend and will be missed.
I will be there to say good bye to my friend.
