Jaime Acevedo
Jaime Acevedo, age 57, of Las Vegas, NV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 15, 2023.
Jaime was born in Chicago, IL, on November 16, 1965, to Abel & Barbara Acevedo. He was a veteran who served in the Gulf War and was honorably discharged from the US Air Force in November 1996. Most recently, he worked with a defense government contractor, providing valuable contributions to the defense of the US.
Throughout his life, Jaime sought out in search of the lord in Christ. He was an active Southern Hills Baptist Church member, where he loved participating in bible study.
Jaime is known for his strong charter and infectious smile that cannot be forgotten. Jaime was passionate about life. He held a deep affinity for fine wines, cigars, and food and was an avid firearms sportsman and lifelong learner.
He is preceded in death by his father, Abel M. Acevedo.
Jaime is survived by his Mother, Barbara, his Brothers, Abel Jr, Marin, and Albert, and sister, Gloria, and his 13 nephews and nieces and their families.
A celebration of Jaime’s life will be held in Henderson, NV, with many of his friends and family in attendance, where his family and friends will speak of his life, cherished memories, and the legacy he leaves here with his loved ones. Jaime’s life is a beautiful reminder of what forgiveness, grace, love, and the power of God can have in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
A viewing will be held on Friday, July 21st, at Southern Hills Church, 6425 W Pebble Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89139, from 10:00 am to 11 am, with church services promptly starting at 11 am.
The burial is scheduled at 1:00 pm on the same day at Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
