Jane Johanson

Jane was born December 28, 2010 in Provo, Utah. The daughter of Adam and Elizabeth Marshall Johanson, she is survived by her three siblings, Megan (12), Alec Adam (5) and Charlotte (3), along with her maternal grandma, both paternal grandparents, several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jack Alexander Johanson (deceased December
2008).
Jane was a second grade student at Parks Elementary School in Cleveland, Mississippi. She was a gifted young student who split her intellectual leisure time between amateur pursuits in geology and entomology. She had an extensive rock, mineral, gem and geode collection, and even grew her own crystals. She also was fascinated by the variety of the insect life that she discovered in Mississippi,
and particularly loved butterflies. Jane also loved Beanie Boos and playing with her Lalaloopsy dolls.
Jane was very social and active. She was equal parts sweet and sass. She always wanted to be around others and preferred exploring the outdoors and chasing rainbows to sitting inside and watching TV. She made friends easily and had a very kind, giving and tender heart. She cared so much about how other people felt and wanted always to do and be her best. She loved each member
of her family and shared a particularly deep and strong bond with her younger brother Alec, who she considered her “legit best friend forever.”
Jane was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on December 29, 2018. Following the baptism, her mother Elizabeth shared her testimony publically. This included Elizabeth and Adam’s united testimony of the plan of salvation and their gratitude for the knowledge that through the Savior it is possible for the Johanson family to be an eternity family.
We invite everyone to celebrate in Jane’s life by attending her viewing to be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 5:30-9:00 pm at
