Jay Healy

Jay passed away January 9, 2019 at home, with his wife by his side. Jay was born July 28, 1930 in Provo, Utah to Verna Jones and Paul F. Healy.  The family later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he attended school and graduated from East High School. In 1948, he attended Don Martins School of Radio Arts in Los Angeles, CA. In 1950, he enlisted in the Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1954. He married Joyce Rands in 1954 and this union lasted 64 years until his death. Jay worked his entire life in the retail clothing business, which he loved. He retired from Arthur Frank Clothing, Salt Lake City, UT in 1992.  After his retirement he and Joyce traveled and enjoyed every minute of his retirement. In 2015, they moved to Reno, Nevada where they spent the last three years. Jay enjoyed jazz music, sports cars, clothes, basketball and football.  He was also a voracious reader. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Dorene Healy and survived by his wife and numerous nieces and nephews.  As per his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no formal service.
