Jesse D.C. Reyes

Jesse D.C. Reyes, 89, of Reno, Nevada, has peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Renown Regional Medical Center.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00pm, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the La Paloma Funeral Services Chapel, 437 Stoker Ave., Reno, Nevada 89503. Interment/Burial services will be held at 12:30pm, Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, California 95620.
Jesse was born February 3, 1929 in Makati, Philippines. He grew up and went to school in the Philippines and graduated at MAPUA University with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1955 and performed duties as an aircraft mechanic, specialized in hydraulics. After 20 years of faithful and dedicated service in the military, Jesse decided to retire from the U.S. Navy. A few months after, he was hired at McLellan Air Force Base, Sacramento, California as an Equipment Specialist and later as an Engineer- a Department of Defense (DoD) Civil Service position. He completed more than 20 years of federal civil service, retiring with a combined 40 years plus of service to the United States of America. He moved to Reno, Nevada after retirement so he could enjoy his favorite recreation- casino table games- black jack and poker.
Jesse is survived by his seven children from two marriages: Zeny Anteola & Susan Eubanks of San Antonio, TX.; Magdalena Haskins and Jesse (Jr.) Reyes of Troy, TN,; Delana Guy and Christopher Reyes of Sacramento, CA.; Delinda Rodriguez of Reno, NV.; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents- Frederico and Demetria Reyes; two wives- Fausta Santos Reyes and Doris Norris Reyes; and three children- Freddie Reyes, Mark Reyes and most recently, Jesse Wayne Reyes.
