John 79 years, 5 months, and 24 days, was born on July 29, 1942, in Sanger, CA. to the late Lela Marie (Horton) and Gordie Marcus Bradhurst, of Stover, MO. John was married to his hometown sweetheart Ina Jo (Beyard) of Waldron, AR on July 9, 1962. They would have been married 60 years in July of 2022. Ina Jo was born to the late Vernell (Bottoms) and Harley E. C. Beyard of Waydron, AR.
John passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 22, 2022, at his home in Henderson, NV, with his family. He proudly served his country for over 23 years in the United States Navy, during the Vietnam War era. His exposure to Agent Orange contributed to his death. John earned his Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas. After retiring from the U.S. Navy, he held a position of Assistant Professor, at a local Memphis college teaching Calculus, John went on to enjoy a very successful career with several larger companies such as Kellogg, Walmart, and Sears, among others.
John loved his little piece of the lake in Texas, his boat, lawnmower, crossword puzzles, his Church and GOD. But there was nothing John enjoyed more here on earth than his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Trust in GOD eases pain. Hope can lighten the grief, and Love makes us courageous. JOHN has left a hole in our hearts that we will carry with us forever. John is survived by his wife, Ina Jo, his 3 children, Johnnie and wife Beckie, Joanne and husband Arthur, and Cynthia Jean. There are also, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 9:00 am, Thursday, February 24th, 2022, at LaPaloma Mortuary/Chapel, Las Vegas, with internment to follow at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV 89005.
