Joseph Anthony Re Sr.

(01/19/1932 – 12/26/2109 ) Joseph Anthony Re Sr. passed away peacefully at Henderson Hospital on December 26th 2019. From Buffalo, New York, he and his family resided in Tempe, Arizona before moving to Las Vegas in 1984. He was a member of Bricklayers Union 45 of Buffalo and Operating Engineers local 501 of Las Vegas and worked at Bally’s Hotel and Casino until he retired. In latter years Joseph was the custodian at his beloved Holy Family Catholic Church where he also taught R.C.I.A. classes and routinely served as Eucharistic Minister. Joseph was a Sargent in United States Army serving in the Korean War from 1953 to 1956.  He was preceded in death by his son Michael John Re and is survived by his wife of sixty five years Sarah, his daughter Denise Re Amadeo, son Joseph Re Jr. and daughter-in-law Kathy Re, all of Las Vegas. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on Friday January 31 st at 9:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church at 4490 S. Mountain Vista, Las Vegas, 89121. A reception will follow the mass in the church Ave Maria Center. Interment is scheduled to follow at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr. in Boulder City, NV 89005.
