Joseph Edward McArdle
At the age of 87 years old, Joseph lived a full and blessed life. He passed away on February 17th, 2013 in Las Vegas. Joseph Edward McArdle was born December 8th, 1925 and grew up on the East Coast. He entered the US Navy and served from 1944-1946 on board the USS Satyr and took part in the end-of-war operations in the South Pacific. Joseph then worked in various fields such the newspaper industry, housing code enforcement, St. Jude’s Ranch in Boulder City, and Learning is Fun in Las Vegas during his later years. Joseph is preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth (Roggenhoffer) McArdle and his second wife, Beverly (Crandall) McArdle. Joseph had eight children, Kim (McArdle) Harrington, Joseph McArdle (deceased), Kurt McArdle, Craig McArdle, Jeff McArdle, Mark McArdle (deceased), Brian McArdle, and Shawn McArdle. He was blessed with multiple grandchildren. He eventually retired in Las Vegas where met Lynne Hope Crawford and they married in August, 2000. He considered her children, Laura (Crawford) Schlattmann, Lisa (Crawford) Vanderveen, Mary Francine Crawford-Guarnera, and Brian Crawford, their spouses and children as his own. He was fortunate to spend his final years with Lynne. Joseph had many gifts, especially the gift of gab and the ability to make everyone laugh and feel at ease. We all will miss his jovial and light hearted spirit. Go with God, Joseph good and faithful servant.

Joe was always welcoming with open arms. He had away of making you feel like a VIP, going out of his way to ensure your visit was the best ever. Providing you with more food than you could ever consume.
Joe always had a big smile when he greeted you, was full of stories and contagious laughter. He will be surely missed by his friends and family. Heavens getting one of the best. Love and prayers, Marcy
