Kathleen “Kathy” M. Skougard

Kathleen “Kathy” M. Skougard passed away the 9th of July, 2018 at St. Rose Hospital in Henderson, Nevada, after a hard fought battle with cancer among other illnesses. In her final hours she was surrounded by those she loved. Many saw Kathy as a spitfire, refusing to give up when things got tough, many will be happy to hear that in her final moments thunder and lightning danced across the sky. A grand exit for an even grander human being. Kathy  is survived by Husband: Mark, her Children: Joey and Hailey, Granddaughter: Oriana, Mother: Diane, Sister: Deborah, Brother: John. Plus very special people in her life: Shannan, Isiaac, Iyauna, Amanda, Kirk and children. There were countless other family and friends that meant the world to her and simply too many to list. But please know you were loved.  Kathy was a compassionate soul, with a heart that radiated love and happiness. She cared deeply about each and every person in her life and because of that she was seen by her friends as a member of the family. She enjoyed crafting, hot air balloons, adventure, and her pets as well as getaway trips to Panguitch, Utah. But what she enjoyed most was the company of her family and friends. She will be missed deeply. Services are this Saturday, July 13, 2018 from 9:00am to 11:00am at La Paloma on 5450 Stephanie Street, Las Vegas, NV 89122. The family will be receiving guests after the service in their home for a light lunch from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.  The address is 4970 E. Chicago Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89104.
