Kenneth Shawn Snyder

Kenneth Shawn Snyder (3/2/1973 – 11/28/2022) was a remarkable man, who lived life to the fullest. He wanted to go out fighting with his boots on, and this he did. He used to say that he will sleep when he dies, but for now, he’s going to live life with maximum effort… doing what he loves most: making memories with family, hunting, fishing, and shooting with great friends like Tom, Larry and all the others he connected with at the Long Range Shooting Club in Las Vegas. He served 27 honorable years in the Air Force and after retiring, he enjoyed working with an awesome team at the Mission Support and Test Services. He fought a severely aggressive form of cancer with all his might until his body decided it was time to rest. Kenneth is survived by his devoted wife Jodi and twin sons Aaron and Isaac; his previous wife Johnette and their two sons Hunter (Lindsey) and Cody (Elizebeth); his adoring parents Karl and Kathy; brother Kevin (Jodi) and sister Karen (Chris) and his Uncles Alfred and Raymond (Aunt Cecilia) Thackrey. Kenneth will be missed, loved and cherished by all who had the privilege of his presence.  Too Soon, Never Forgotten.

I worked with Ken on the B-1 at Dyess. He was a superstar and never failed to inspire and get the mission done. The world is truly a sadder place without him. Prayers for family and friends that the Lord comforts them during their grief. Semper Bats!

  • Truly extending condolence to the family. Ken was super competent, led by example and made Amerca’s Air Force the best in the world. A leader all looked up to and one who made time to mentor our newest warriors. Always proud of his family and let us know it. It was an honor to serve with Ken. He will never be forgotten. God Bless his family.
