Kyu Yung Watson

After a sudden illness, Kyu Yung Watson passed on December 11, 2022 surrounded by family. A 30 year resident of Las Vegas, Kyu’s loves were her family, friends, and her church. As a teenager in South Korea, Kyu flew in planes during the Korean War, aiding South Korean and US troops as they bravely fought for the freedom of her country. While raising a family as her husband Robert was a Colonel in the US Air Force, Kyu was a bank manager for 20 years. Kyu enjoyed cooking, painting, and being part of the Korean community in Las Vegas. Kyu’s true passion was her family, her beloved husband Robert, their daughter Jennifer, and her granddaughter Samantha. They were Kyu’s true reward for the risks she took as a courageous teenager, before she became the strong, loving woman who made all around her feel special as she embarked on a life which was long and memorable. Kyu will forever be remembered by the many lives she touched, as whether as a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend, Kyu lit up the lives of everyone she encountered.
