Kirk James King, kindly know has “Chuck”, passed in his sleep on October 15, 2018 from Brain Cancer. He was an avid fisherman and always released after the catch. He loved and respected nature. He was an amazing cook like his mom and had such a positive outlook on life.
His story began in Los Angeles California on August 24, 1962. He had three brothers, Mitchell Carter, Paul King and Matthew King. Kirk loved the outdoors. During his youth he would go camping with his father. There his father taught him how to shoot like a marksman.
His big smile and blue eyes were the window to his soul. He was full of kindness and love, especially for all his children. He worked for Southwest Airlines for 17 years, Terrible’s Car Wash as a manager and later became Vice President at Graphic Imaging Services. Kirk was always very patient and calm person and that skill was used throughout his life.
He had two children, Cassell and Amanda from his first marriage. He met the love of his life, Lisa Andersen-Desautels, in May 2012. They were engaged on June 30, 2015. He became the father figure to her two daughters, Celia and Sara Desautels. He loved having his family near him.
His last family trip was on a cruise during the Christmas Holiday 2017 to Mexico. It was during this trip he was finally able to enjoy his blended family. In his later years of life, he continued to go camping and fishing with family and friends. His favorite place to fish was Lee’s Ferry where he often went with his best friend Tony Martin. His ashes will be spread at Lee’s Ferry at his request.
