Remington “Remy” Stafford

Remington “Remy” Stafford

In Sweet Memory of My Loving Son

Remington “Remy” Stafford

My loving son Remington, you have given a mother more than she could have ever imagined or asked for, in Jesus name. I love you so so so much. We will all miss you and cherish your memory, but God almighty has called you home. He told me that I was ready to let you go, and I know that God does not make any mistakes.

Remington was born on September 21st, 1983 in Detroit, MI. Remy was a blessing to all that knew him. He graduated from Bryant High School of Livonia, Michigan in 2001. He was always a quiet spirit that was known for his beautiful loving smile, and being helpful to others. Remington found the Lord at an early age, and was baptized at the age of 19. Remington attended several colleges. He first attended Schoolcraft College of Livonia. Followed by Baker College of Owosso, MI, Central Michigan University, Grand Valley State University, and the University of Nevada LV.  Remington only needed one semester to graduate with a B.S. in sports medicine. He always said “mom” I will finish one day”. But, after several years of training, Remington decided to pack up for California, and follow his passion of Mixed Martial Arts, where he had his first professional MMA fight, in 2007. He won! Remington moved to Las Vegas the summer of 2008, were his mom had recently relocated.

Remington had a great love for Music, animals, and had recently adopted a pit bull terrier, affectionately known as “Sox”.  Remy also delighted in weight lifting, body building, and fitness his entire life.

He leaves to exult in his memory, his loving devoted mother, DaNita Stafford (mommy), father Michael Wilson, Grandmother, Carole “Mama”, who proceeded him in death, Grandfather Everett Sr., auntie Kimberly, uncles Everett Jr., Micah, and his favorite uncle that proceeded him in death, Dion, cousins LaQuae, Amber, Justin, Mykah, Dion Jr., and Diondre, his best friend Chris, and a host of cousins, family, and friends.

Remington my heart breaks every moment of the day. But I will try to be strong, because you told me I was strong enough to get through it and that you would be there with me, until we meet again. I will do Gods’s will, because I know that he will reunite us one day son, but until then I love and miss you, and I am so grateful to good for the years that he gave me with you. But every day you are in my heart and I feel you all around me. Thank you Remy for being my son and leaving me those beautiful notes telling me how much you love me, and that I was a greatest mom. God has you now at peace and rest, I just cant wait to see mommy’s baby beautiful smile and hug you so tight again.

We had the pleasure of meeting Remy when DaNita moved to the neighborhood. For months, he came every day to check on her. He ALWAYS took the time and chatted with my husband or myself. We were so impressed how polite he was with us OLD folks, and how caring he was regarding his mom! He always had a smile, just like his mom. He will be missed by all the lives he touched.

    The Love goes on forever!

  • DaNita Posted March 30, 2018 10:51 am

A year ago yesterday, you went home to the lord father. I have loved you more and missed you each and every day. I believed that I have shared a tear each day; which God has collected up, and added to my bottle of tears. I adore you Remington, you are the love of my life. Mommy is still trying to figure out life without you here. I loved doing life with you! You are still my beautiful baby, my angel. My goal each day is to do my works, so that I can come home and be with you and our Lord Father. God told you he would take care of your mommy, and his word is always good. I miss you so so much, but thank God for taking you home, to peace and no more pain. Remy you are free! Your favorite Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” The beautiful eternal love and connection we have. The most sweetest, loving, humble and kind spirit ever. Love you with all my heart, mommy.

  • TOM Posted April 29, 2018 1:52 pm

After God removes wickedness and suffering, the earth will be transformed into a paradise. Then people will be able to live forever in perfect health and happiness. God’s Word foretells: “[God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.”—Revelation 21:4.
In that new world, even dead ones will be brought back to life to share in those blessings: “There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts 24:15) That is why Jesus Christ could tell a repentant evildoer who expressed faith in him: “You will be with me in Paradise.”—Luke 23:43.
I hope these thoughts provide some comfort during this difficult time.
