Lawrence A Chambers

img_0519Lawrence Allen Chambers, 69, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Sunrise Hospital from a long battle with cancer.

Larry is survived by his wife Judi of 30 years, step daughters Cynthia Balikian and Kimberly McKinley, sisters Marie Pacheco and Teresa Gibson-Chance, brother Richard Pacheco, sister-in-law Gerry Arneson and was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Pacheco, step father Manuel Pacheco, brother Steve Pacheco, sister Dora Pacheco and nephew Thomas Raine.

He grew up in Elkton, MD and after graduation joined the Armed Services. He served three years with distinction in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He earned the National Defense Service Medal and was a recognized sharpshooter. His discipline and patriotism he learned as a soldier never left him, as friends and family will attest. Larry lived abroad in Germany where he met lifelong friends. Returning to the US, his love for fast cars and motorcycles never faded. He moved to Texas and married his wife Judi and later moved to Nevada where he eventually retired. He was committed to animal welfare and rescued many dogs for loving pets.
