Lillian Kapu

Mom3Lillian “Lily” Leialoha Kapu (Kaolelo), 74, born Kailua-Kona, HI, long-time resident of the California South Bay area who later in life returned to her hometown to reside during her senior years and eventually moved to Nevada for retirement, died of cardiac arrest on August 5, 2015 in a Las Vegas/Summerlin Hospital. Although not the cause of death, Lillian was recently diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing treatment. On July 16, 2015, during a chemotherapy session, she suffered a heart-attack and was immediately rushed to a local hospital, where she would remain. While in the hospital, she suffered a major stroke. Due to complications and declining health brought on by the stroke, she went into cardiac arrest several times and was unable to maintain a pulse. Although the ICU medical staff did what could be done, they had difficulty reviving her the final time she coded… and she passed.
Lillian is survived by her sons, Brian (Cherylyne) Hinsey of Las Vegas, NV and Brandon Hinsey of Honolulu, HI, along with four grandchildren, Shane Akiona of Kula, HI, Ellias Hinsey and Cheyenne Hinsey, both of Las Vegas, NV, and Orion Hinsey of Kailua-Kona, HI, as well as, four great-grandchildren. The immediate family will be holding a private funeral service in Las Vegas, NV on Monday, August 10, 2015… and thank all those who knew and loved her.
