Margret A. Woodard Obituary (1919)

Margret A. Woodard (Mia as she was effectionately called) died peacefully on 8/4/11 at the Nathan Adelson Hospice, Las Vegas, Nevada. Mrs. Woodard suffered a heart attack and was unable to recover. Margret, a very proud and loving Mother, was 92 years old. She is survived by two children, a daughter Greta Ferrer and son Ira (Tedd) Woodard Jr., another child a daughter , Gail James, preceded her in death. She is also survied by 7 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. A memorial service was held on 8/5/11 for family members at the Nathan Adelson Hopice Chapel. Family Parents: John Jeter, Father; Ella Oldham, Mother Siblings: George, Wilber, Gertrude, Johnny, and Mattie. Born: July 22, 1919 – Winchester, Kentucky Education 1925 – The Oliver Street School – Clark County Kentucky Married: 1936 – Charles Miller, Winchester, KY – Daughters – Greta & Gail 1943 – Ira Theodore Woodard, Sr., Chicago – Son – Tedd College 1955 – Attended Roosevelt University in Chicago – Completed Courses in Accounting Employment 1951 – 1984 Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Tax Auditor GS-11. Began her IRS career in Chicago, IL, then to San Jose, San Diego, and San Mateo, California. Retired 35 Years IRS in San Mateo, CA 1984
