Martin Correia
Martin Correia passed away from complications due to pancreatic cancer on July 23, 2017. He was 64 years old.
Marty was born on November 12, 1952 in Boston, Massachusetts. His father and mother, Herman and Josephine Correia, moved to Southern California when Marty was a young child and settled in Canoga Park. He ultimately resided in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Marty was a true fighter. His diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer was not going to keep him down. He always kept his spirits up and never complained. He cracked jokes and laughed often, not only because laughter is the best medicine, but because that is who he was. Marty was a fun-loving, caring, and truly kind man who will be remembered by his infectious smile. He was an incredible drummer and singer who loved music. He was loved by so many.
Martin Correia is survived by his love, Renee Signor; daughters, Jamie Guess and son-in-law, Patrick, Stephanie Correia, and Michelle Correia; granddaughter, Zoey Correia; grandson, Carter Martin Guess; and sister, Melani Ferguson and brother-in-law, Darik.
A memorial service will take place on August 11, 2017 from 2-3pm at La Paloma Funeral Home, 5450 Stephanie St., Las Vegas, Nevada. A reception will follow at Liberty Center Sun City Anthem, 2211 Somersworth Dr., Henderson, Nevada 89044.
