Mary Elliker Gillins

Mary Elliker Gillins, 77, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018. She was born December 7, 1940. A homemaker, piano teacher and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mary was raised in Panaca, Nevada and moved to Las Vegas after graduating from LDS Business College. She worked briefly for the Clark County School District before raising a family with four sons.

From a young age, Mary always had a love for music and shared that love by teaching piano lessons to many students from the early 1970s until her death. She loved cooking and baking, serving in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, James, four sons, Todd, Brian, Kendall and Jonathan, four daughter-in-laws, Cari, Lori, Korrie and Heather; 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A viewing will take place from 6-8pm Friday, June, 22. Another viewing will be from 9-10:30am on Saturday, June 23 with the service following at 11am—all at the LDS Chapel located at 1101 N Pecos Rd.
