Mary “Beth” Garcia passed away age 68, June 23, 2022 at Renown Regional Medical Center. She was born May 12, 1954 in Hazelton, PA, second daughter to John Valagene and Dorothy (Mizenko) Valagene. After graduation she married husband, Richard Garcia in a small and intimate ceremony in Hazelton on November 22, 1975; they recently celebrated 46 years of marriage this last November.
Rich and Beth travelled and lived in many parts of the western United States, living their life full of adventure, friends, and good times. In 1981 they settled in Sparks, NV and have made Nevada their home. It was here that Beth turned her lifelong compassion and kindness of others into her career as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years. In 1991, Rich and Beth adopted their only shared daughter, Ciara. Together they loved attending University of Nevada basketball games, Reno Aces baseball games, and going to Lake Tahoe every summer. Beth was also an avid pet lover, and there were always furry paws running around her house. Her last dog, Tiny Bubbles, brought her joy and happiness during her last few years of health battles.
Beth is predeceased by her father, John Valagene and mother Dorothy Valagene. Beth is survived by husband, Rich Garcia, daughter Ciara Holder, step-daughters Michele Garcia-Ramey, Laura Garcia, and sister Denise Masley. To the family and friends of Mrs. Garcia always cherish the fond memories of time spent together and although you may grieve the Bible can be a source of comfort. At (Revelation 21:3,4) it speaks of a time when there will be no more sickness or death, also at (Acts 24:15) it speaks of a resurrection that we all can look forward to. May the peace and love of the God of all comfort be with you all. Comfort can be found in our Creator through prayer and through his word the Bible and in Jesus Christ.
