Mary Henry
Mary Lula was born to the loving parents of Wesley and Willie Ella Moten on November 9, 1928 in the state of Alabama. Mary attended Selma university where she majored in beauty and skin care, she graduated as a Beautician. She could do hair like no one else; people would wait for hours just for Mary curls!!! She was also a natural born comedian, with her jokes if you came to her sad she would cheer you up in laughter. Mary would welcome everyone. If you were hungry she would feed you, she was a great cook we all loved her “tea cakes” She was a very positive and loving person that would take time to listen to your problems and give you her best advice. Mary loved the lord and was a dedicated praying woman in her later years. In her spare time you would find her in God’s word. She was married to the late Lenzy L. Henry, and moved to Buffalo New York. Later they moved west to California where they had two daughters. She was a devoted mother. On January 14, 2013 Mary Lula Henry stepped out of time into eternity. She leaves to morn a sister: Mattie Johnson in Buffalo, New York. Her two loving daughters:Ivy Lynn Latimore and Alicia Gail Sayles. One son-in-law Walter B. Latimore, Carolyn Yvonne Harris the first niece, she loved as her own daughter. Norma Jean, Kim, Shalonda, Alenia nieces she loved dearly. Four nephews Eddie Harris, Melvin and Eric and Larry. Eleven grandchildren Carlesia, Christon, Chamanda Michael, Gina, Bruce, Sharonda, Darnell, Stacy, Kenziel and Walter Jr. Also 26 great grandchildren and host of many more friends and family.
