Michael Howard Miller
Michael Howard Miller, 57, was a valiant man, a good-humored, compassionate, generous, reliable, loving man. He was an explosion in the room, unedited; he loved to make people laugh. Michael worked for Rykoff and US Food Service in California and Arizona for 23 years. A self-taught drummer, he hosted open-mic nights and played small gigs with his band. It was on one of those nights he met his long time girlfriend of 14 years, Shirley Puckett. They owned and ran their own home decor and furniture store. Michael was candle chandler for their business, again, self-taught. Together with their four dog-children, they moved to Henderson, NV in 2012. He enjoyed music, movies, buffets and keno. Sadly, he suffered with a progressively debilitating illness enduring numerous years of painful treatments. He was brave against insurmountable adversity. He is survived by Shirley, his parents Gene & Marlene Miller and brother Mark Miller of NV, sister and brother-in-law Michelle & Julien Olivier, their daughters Ashley and Amanda Olivier of CA, and cousin Cynthia Crain of CA. Special acknowledgements: Bob Batt – supportive cousin preceding him in death, Jack Brown, Tim Morrison, Terri Miller-Moran, Crystal Berridge, Jennifer Moran, Kelly Moran-Newton. To caring friends, good neighbors, healthcare providers, and Compassion Care Hospice: Your support and kindness was appreciated! Add a tribute: www.lapalomafuneralservices.com.

much love 2 you mike u will be miss
The planets color has faded at this time of loss.
I knew Mike to posses the kind of in your face honesty and humor that left an indelible impression . I have and shall carrry this with me the remaining years of my life. Troubled, as all us humans tend to be at given times of our lives, he was strong. My hope is that he was aware of his ability to have reached the hearts of others .
Though I’m saddened by his passing I am thankful that he is pain free and at peace.
Dear Family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and send you my sincere condolences. May you find comfort from God’s word at Revelation 21:3,4 and John 5:28,29. Heartfelt prayers are with you during this difficult time.
