Michael “Mikey” F. Arroyo
Michael “Mikey” F. Arroyo of Lower Lake, CA, formerly of Las Vegas and Farrell, PA passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2017. He was 38.
Michael Frank Arroyo was born in Las Vegas on July 28, 1979 to Debra (Sirianni) Fimognari and Michael Arroyo, both of Las Vegas, NV. Taken too soon, Mikey was raised in Farrell, PA by his devoted mother Deb, encircled by family and friends. Those years were spent surrounded by childhood companions including Bebo and Carla. He was a 1997 graduate of Farrell High School. Mikey loved his brothers, Matt & Frankie, and adored his mother Deb.
Growing up, Mikey and Matt spent many summers in Las Vegas. Always staying with their loving father, Michael, step-mom Laura and his step-siblings Leilani, Samson, Seth, and Elika. Those summers were filled with memories and fun times with his extended Vegas family.
Summer days crammed with non-stop energy, silliness, and laughter. There were many sleepovers at the cousins Arroyo and Devine households, lots of pool parties, and play dates all summer long. After Mikey’s high school graduation, he headed straight to Las Vegas. to live and spend even more time with his Vegas family. Mikey tried his hand at many jobs like Sharper Image and the Review Journal as a translator…always smiling ear-to-ear, working hard at all of them.
Mikey had the kindest heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. His new-found family and friends in California speak of his generosity and Mikey’s love for everyone. As a supervisor at DJ’s Pizza, he wore many hats, worked tirelessly, and never knew a stranger.
He is survived by his parents; his brother Frank Fimognari of Las Vegas; countless cousins, uncles and aunts from California to Pennsylvania. He will be considerably and greatly missed by his friends and family. Mikey was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and his brother Matthew Arroyo.
