Nola Cox


She lived and attended grade school in Mesquite NV and Graduated from Virgin Valley High in 1943. She married to David M Cox in 1946 and they were married 61 years until his death. Nola worked as a waitress and started her career at Cory’s at the corner of 4th and Fremont St. She then took a job at the Old Round Up Drive In located at the corner of LVBS and Main. She also worked at Foxey’s Deli at Sahara and LVBS. She finished her career working 19 years at Caesars Palace. In 1983 she served an LDS Mission along with her husband David. She also served over 10 years at Las Vegas Temple. Nola was a classy lady always looking her best. Nola loved her grandkids and love to crochet making over 250 aphagans and beautiful handmade quilts.
Nola is survived by her sons Dr. Grant D. Cox (Georgia) and Chet Cox (Karla). Six Grand Children-Darren Cox, Andrea Cox Van Sweringen, Matthew Cox, Douglas Cox, Chet J. Cox, and Kylie Cox Orme. She is also survived by 15 Great Grand Children.
Visitation will take place from 10-10:45am Friday May 19th with services to follow at 11am. Both will be at Anthem LDS Chapel located at 875 Rich Perez Jr Dr HENDERSON NV 89052. Interment will take place at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery on June 9th at 10:40am. Contributions can be made in her Honor to David M Cox Elementary General Fund.
