Janice Kim Baker, known affectionately to her loved ones as Kim, was a gentle soul whose life was a living testament of love, compassion, and kindness. Born in San Bruno on July 11, 2026, Kim lived a vibrant life that touched many hearts in her journey of 100 years. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of moments, memories, and milestones intricately woven with the threads of love, joy, and warmth. As American author, Mark Twain, once said, "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born, and the day you find out why." For Kim, her 'why' was to shower the world with love and kindness.
Kim made Reno, Nevada, her home, creating a sanctuary of comfort and love with her beloved husband, Gregory Holl. As a dedicated homemaker, she transformed their house into a home, imbuing every corner with her warmth and creativity. Every meal she cooked, every holiday she celebrated, every moment she spent with her family was a testament to her dedication to her loved ones. As English author, George Eliot, once wrote, "What do we live for if it is not to make life less difficult for each other?" Kim lived by these words, making the lives of her loved ones easier with her selflessness and love.
Kim is survived by her loving husband, Gregory Holl, who was her rock and her steadfast partner in life's journey. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ward Albee and Barbara Garcia. Their memories will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew them.
We remember Janice Baker not with sorrow, but with a deep sense of gratitude for her love, her care, and her unwavering spirit. We remember her as a beacon of love, a woman who lived a hundred years, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to live on for many more. We encourage you to share your memories and upload photos of Janice on the memorial page, so that we may all celebrate her life and remember the woman who made our lives a little brighter, a little warmer, and a lot more beautiful.
