Joyce Ann Schmittling

Joyce Ann (Dunnagan) Schmittling, 76, (3/28/1946 – 5/24/2022) passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at her home, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Joyce was the daughter of James and Mary (Bolen) Dunnagan, born in Alton, Illinois. She attended schools in the same area.

She was a very loving wife and mother, with a beautiful soul.

Joyce enjoyed an exciting world of travel and adventure, alongside her husband, who proudly served and retired from the Army.  She enjoyed  crafts, crocheting/knitting, music and entertaining and above all, sharing her life with family and friends.

She was very patriotic and so proud of her father’s decorated, WWII heroic participation.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, a brother,  Larry Dale Dunnagan and a daughter,  Michelle Lee Tripp .

She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Lee Schmittling, a sister, Gloria Jean (Dunnagan) Ladeau (Alfred) and a sister-in-law, Kara Lynn (McCourtney) Dunnagan,  4 children:  Ashley Marie Sojourner (Joshua), Angelia Flis (James), Diane Allen (Bill) and Randy Schmittling, 14 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a special Aunt, Alma Louise (Dunnagan) Lowe and  cousins, along with 2 fur babies, Roxy and Max .

Joyce was loved by all who knew her and she will forever live in our hearts.
