Lina Pearl Gaab Obituary (1928 - 2023)

Lina Pearl Gaab born December 18, 1928, died October 20, 2023 Lina Pearl (Albaugh) Gaab, born Dec. 18th, 1928, near Hazelton, N.D., was a beacon of love, faith, and a true “Shining Star.” Raised on a farm and later graduating from Bismarck High School, Lina was a woman of many roles – mother, saleswoman, girl scout leader, and catechism teacher. Most notably, she was a mother to ten cherished children, whom she guided with joy into successful adulthood. Her numerous talents ranged from sewing, crafting and poetry to diligently maintaining the family genealogy. Lina firmly believed in the joy of giving, exemplifying that “giving is more powerful than receiving.” Her unwavering faith was a source of her strength and she served as a devoted hospitality minister at Ascension Parish. Throughout her life, Lina’s infectious smile, boundless compassion, and deep-rooted faith made her a beacon for many. In her golden years, Lina’s spirit of service continued as she volunteered, particularly with AARP, her church, and in the classroom with Bismarck School System. Lina’s legacy is profound, touching the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Harley, daughter Lorraine, and grandsons Ryan and Jason.
