Marcello Raimondo Vittorio Nannucci

Marcello Raimondo Vittorio Nannucci of Las Vegas passed away at the age of 81 on Sunday, November 26, 2023 in Hospice Care, surrounded by his family at home.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Martha (née Bonin); three daughters, Shawna, Gianna, and Melja; and three grandchildren, Amelia, Ray, and Ty, all of whom reside in Las Vegas, NV.

Marcello was predeceased by his two siblings, Alfredo Nannucci and Giovanna Nannucci. He was especially close to his wife Martha’s sister and her husband, Elizabeth and Daniel Alfonso, who also predeceased him.

Born in Prato, Italy, Marcello is also survived by a long list of nieces and nephews who he loved very much and who still reside in Italy, New York, North Carolina, and Arizona:

Alessio, Silvia, Silvana, Andrea, Barbara, Sheila and their children in his hometown of Prato, Italy.

Richard and daughter Melissa; Michelle, son Loren and wife Tricia; Danny and Cathy, and son Danny; Gina, daughter Megan and son Paulie; Frank and Sharon, and son Frankie in and around Martha’s hometown of Highland, NY; and Amelia and Bob of Raleigh, NC.

Marcello will be lovingly remembered for his charm, magnetism, and positive light, and also his love for cooking delicious meals for his family. He worked at the New York-New York and The Venetian Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Marcello loved the nightlife and hospitality industry, serving as a host, or honorary maître d’, at both the Il Fornaio and Canaletto Restaurants for over 20 years. He loved his coworkers like family and the Canaletto restaurant became a place for his family to gather often; enjoying fine wine and authentic Italian food.

He enjoyed his free time gardening, cooking, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren preparing Sunday dinners or going to dinner and a movie, which he loved to do. His grandchildren meant the world to him. He will be greatly missed. We love you, Nonno!

Services will be held on December 15, 2023 at 11am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5830 Mesa Park Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89135. We want to especially thank the Nathan Adelson Hospice Team for the exceptional service and support that was provided.
