Richard Luther Hafen 86 passed away peacefully in his sleep at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 10th, 2025. He was born May 16th, 1939 to Albert Luther Hafen and Vonda Reber. He spent his childhood years in Mesquite, Nevada helping on his father’s dairy farm where he learned the value of hard work. Dick received his Surveying license after putting himself through night school. He worked with a few companies to hone his trade and eventually started his own successful Surveying company. He always provided well for his family. In his spare time he enjoyed working in the fields on the farm, hunting and fishing with his boys, and family activities like boating at Lake Mead, and three wheeling at the sand dunes. He enjoyed dutch oven cooking and grilling meats for family parties. Dick was a man of his word and with that integrity, always did what he said he would do. He will be missed by many.
