Shayla Joan Mcbride

Shayla Joan McBride was born in Muscatine, Iowa on March 18th, 1952 and passed away peacefully on November 23rd, 2024 at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada which she shared with her middle son, Joshua Humpton.

Shayla was the daughter of Dorothy Peters and William “Perk” Gerdner.  She attended Burlington Community High School in Burlington, Iowa and graduated in 1970.

Shayla always enjoyed spending time with her children, grand children, great grandchildren, and her many friends.  She always enjoyed a good game night with family and friends playing UNO, Yahtzee, or a number of other card and board games.

Shayla is survived by her mother Dorothy Peters and brother David (Joanne) Gerdner.  Her sons Jason (Cyndie) Humpton, Joshua Humpton, and Sean (Lizzie) McBride.  Her grandchildren Seth (Darcie) Hartman, Emily (Alex) Nelson, Alex (Megan) Humpton, Taylor Humpton, Noah Humpton, Lake McBride and Seren McBride as well as four great grandchildren.

Her smile, contagious laugh and love for life will be dearly missed by all that knew her and were lucky enough to call her Mom, Grandma, Nanna, Great Grandma, and friend.
