Tracy A Cox was born April 22, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jeanette Anderson and Max Cox. He was the second of six children. As a child, he lived in Driggs, Idaho; Oak City, Utah and Gardnerville, Nevada. He married Laura Streng in Oakland, California on August 9, 1984 (divorced in 2006), and was the parent of three children, Brettany, Jeremy and Andrea. Tracy attended Douglas High School in Gardnerville, Nevada, where he graduated with the class of 1980. In 1987 he graduated from University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in Business Administration. He built his own business as a financial adviser, a career he enjoyed throughout his life. Tracy was an adventurous person who enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling the world, and didn’t think twice about skydiving when he was nearly fifty. He also loved spending time outdoors, traveling, and eating good food. He appreciated music, and earlier in life his hobbies included photography, painting, and pottery. Despite his active lifestyle he always took the time to slow down and spend quality time with his kids, grandbabies, and close friends.
