AMAZING GRACE

Priscilla Mary Leal Bailey

12/14/1926 – 9/8/2022

REST IN PEACE

Preceded in death by her Parents and Siblings

Priscilla Leal Bailey passed away peacefully on September 8, 2022 in Henderson, Nevada at the age of 95. She was surrounded by her loving husband and family.

She passed away the same day as Queen Elizabeth II and both women led extraordinary lives. Priscilla was the Queen of our family. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great grandmother and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her husband Charles Bailey, her daughters Betty (Chris) McMillian, and Cathy (Bob) Navin, son Clyde E. Peters and stepsons Charles (Jackie) Bailey, Jr., and Glen R. Bailey. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michelle (Randy) Zimney, Tracy (Greg) Welch and Priscilla Garcia, great grandchildren, Matthew, Brandon and Jacqueline, five step great grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren.

She was born December 14, 1926 in Corrales, New Mexico, a beautiful small farming village with lots of charm. She married Clyde Espinosa in NM and had three children. Her husband was in construction and together they rebuilt the original adobe home located at Leal Lane in Corrales. Later on they opened the Knotty Pine Cafe.

In 1966 Priscilla re-married and moved to Honolulu, Hawaii. This was a dream for her and her children that would forever change the course of their lives. The beauty, the love, the life, the beach all describes family love with one Hawaiian word OHANA!

Charles (Chuck) Bailey and Priscilla have been married almost 50 years. It would be love at first sight at the NCO Club in Hawaii where she loved to dance. Charles’ Air Force career was steady in Hawaii for 15 years. However, travels would take her to Japan, Greece, London, Spain, Germany and so many more destinations.

Priscilla and Chuck retired in Henderson, Nevada where they lived in the same home for over 30 years. They have provided many beautiful memories for us. There would always be cooking and entertaining, music and singing, dogs and kids and above all Love and Laughter!

She loved the ocean, picking puka shells and making jewelry, dancing, playing games and gambling. She gambled until her 90’s! Slot poker was the name, winning was the game!

AND SHE DID!! She was Beautiful and Spirited, Fierce and Steadfast.

Priscilla Mary Bailey will be laid to rest at the Southern Nevada Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada on October 4, 2022 at 8:00 am.

Aloha ‘Oe “Mama” – Until we meet again!
