The Star-Spangled Banner Flag Series features a memory chest, and memory chest keepsake that are adorned in a Star-Spangled Banner design. The Star-Spangled Banner design originates from September 14th, 1814 where a flag with 15 stars and 15 stripes was flown over Baltimore’s Fort McHenry during a victory against the British. After the battle, Francis Scott Key saw the American Flag still flying and composed a poem, “The Star-Spangled Banner,” which has since become the national anthem in 1931.
