RICHARD LEE NEASON
Richard was born an identical twin on June 29,1947 in Traverse City, Michigan. He was the son of Frank and Phyllis Neason. Richard grew up with his twin brother, William, and younger brother Timothy, on a beautiful cherry orchard near Lake Michigan. After completing a degree in High School Science Education, he began his teaching career in Illinois. Soon after moving to the suburbs of Chicago, he won the National Enquirer’s Look-A-Like contest for Gabe Kaplan, a TV teacher starring in Welcome Back Kotter. In 1980 he married Arlis Ann Carlin in a “Hollywood Look-A-Like Wedding” surrounded by many friends who also shared resemblances to famous people.
His only child, Jeffrey Tyrone Neason was born in 1982. Richard and Jeffrey enjoyed numerous sporting events together. Taking in a Las Vegas buffet with Arlis and Jeffrey was always a good time. The family shared wonderful adventures on their many road and train trips around the country.
During Richard’s retirement years, he served as a substitute teacher and a proctor for the State Bar of Nevada.
He is survived by his wife, Arlis Ann Neason, William and Susan Neason, and Timothy and Denise Neason. He is also survived by a niece Shayna Johnston and a nephew, Matthew Neason. Richard was proceeded in death by his loving son, Jeffrey Tyrone Neason in 2019.
Richard will be dearly missed and live in our hearts forever.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 on January 30,2023 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Henderson, Nevada.
