RICHARD W. FRANK

Cremation is planned for Richard W. Frank and no services will be held. Mr. Frank died June 12 at home. He was born May 15, 1943, in Garfield, New Jersey to John Frank, Jr. and Helen Potosnak Frank. He moved to Hobbs, New Mexico in December, 1975, when he purchased Hobbs Transfer & Storage which he operated until March 1982. Later, Mr. Frank was the Area Director of the State of New Mexico Work Force Development Center in Hobbs until his retirement. He moved to Las Vegas in June 2009.

Mr. Frank served with the U.S. Army, 525th Military Intelligence Group, from October 1966 to August 1968 in Germany and from August 1968 to March 1969 at the combined Intelligence Center in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion and was a life member and a Past Commander of Blakey VFW Post 3274 in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Lena Frank; a son, Mark Frank; a granddaughter Amy Emily Vogt, all of whom live in Germany; a sister, Beverly Villeneuve, of Las Vegas; two nephews, Robert Frank and David Fluke; and two nieces, Lynn Teufel and Deborah Butterfield. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Frank, in 1969.

Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
