Robert G.  (RG, BOB) Hohnstein

Robert G.  (RG, BOB) Hohnstein 85, passed away on September 15, 2018 at home in Henderson, Nevada, surrounded by his family.He was born September 19, 1932 to Jake and Jessie Hohnstein in Platner, Colorado.He moved to Henderson in 2013 after a long career in the military and with the State of Alaska Corrections Department. He and his wife lived in Anchorage, Ak for nearly 45 years.  He was a member of Lutheran-Missouri Synod churches. He is survived by his wife, Jean of 61 years, 3 daughters – Tina, Susan, and Bobbie Jo and 1 grandson and 3 granddaughters.  Also surviving are 2 sisters Betty, Patti (PJ), and 1 brother Don as well as many nieces and nephews. RG enjoyed telling stories of the “olden days”.  He loved drives to Searchlight, NV with daughter Susan and family and friends, exploring restaurants, library and cemetery etc.  We will sorely miss his sense of humor and stories. RG’s viewing will be on September 26, 2018 from noon to 1:00 PM AT LaPaloma Funeral Home at 5450 Stephanie Street Las Vegas, NV.  RG’s Funeral will be on September 27th, 2018 at 9:20 AM at the Southern Nevada Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.
