Robert was a proud member of Local 21 of the Brick Layers Union for over 50 years.
He was an avid numismatics and collector of original Americana.
He served our country in the United States Army during WWII.
Private First Class, Squadron E 234th AAF Base Unit, Robert received many decorations and citations among which are the EAME Ribbon with 3 Bronze Stars, the American Theater Ribbon, the Victory Medal World War II and the Good Conduct Medal. He also earned an Expert Infantryman Badge.
Some of his service was served in Southern France, Rhineland and Central Europe.
Robert loved his country as much as his family.
He has 3 surviving sisters, Mildred Fitzpatrick, Gloria Klecka and Mary Stein
Robert is preceded in death by his first wife Mary B. Stein and survived by his wife Virginia S. Stein to whom he has been married to for 40 years. Robert was a wonderful husband and a father of 8 children
